Detapella is a fox roleplay that takes place in a vast region full of landforms from mountains to plains, and rivers to waterfalls. Foxes are the dominant predator to a variety of species, including rabbits and lemmings, and one may hunt on their own, or collectively hunt in a pack. Current Plot
Overall, the lands of Detapella are peaceful, and still being explored, and settled. Foxes are banding together, joining packs; in most cases, they will reap the mutual benefits of living together, hunting down their food as a group. Socially, ranks are being established within each pack, and even between each pack, and between the packs and the lone foxes. The land is still a new formation, lush with plants and small critters...

It was hot.
The heat didn't really agree with Shadow's dark coat, but she really had no other choice than to stop. She was exhausted, and her paws were raw. She had wandered quite far, and would go no farther even if she could.
She spotted the dry-looking dens and crawled in, nearly collapsing at the entrance. This would have to do. After she woke up, she'd be sure to go for some water.
But for now, she would rest. This land seemed to be inhabited by nobody else, so now it was hers.
She lifted her head for a second or two to bark her claim, then put it back down, laying flat on her side. Shadow was the new alpha of what would be the Xutier Pack. She would rule here until her death. Despite her small size, she would not let anybody claim it. She was the absolute ruler here.
Feeling a sudden surge of strength, she stood up and barked her claim as loudly as she could. She'd not be forgiving if anybody tresspassed. She was more than she looked, for sure.

It was soon enough that the black fox rose from her sleep, almost refreshed. Man, she was thirsty, though there didn't seem to be any near access to water in the Dens. She stretched, and stepped outside.
The sun was rising, and it was beautiful. She looked upon what was now her territory with new eyes. She'd have to circle the border today, and place territory markers. She definitely wouldn't want any intruders, for sure. She wanted to place a warning: another fox was here. It wasn't just another fox, either. It was Shadow, a fox that was skilled in combat, and who didn't appreciate other foxes too much.
Yes. That was what she wanted them to know. She barked loudly to let anybody nearby that they wouldn't be appreciated here. This was her territory now.
She would now begin patrolling her territory. To begin with, she placed several markers outside the Den area, rubbing her feet on the ground heavily after placing each marker, to leave her scent there, very strongly--- there would be no mistaking it, she didn't want intruders here.
She set off towards the Petite Pond; she wanted some water to start her day with. On her list of needs, water was definitely the most urgent right now. After she had some water, she might be able to catch some fish, but for now, the only thing she thought of was water.
She set off quickly.
(OOC note: Shadow has traveled to the Petite Pond area, and then to the Neutral Zones.)
