Tia kept at it, she needed to find someone else, or a home. As her paws began to ache and her mind grew weary, she noticed a small hole on the side of a mountain. Her eyes were quick to find it, so she was very lucky indeed. This hole was very small, and was hidden very well. With great care, she approached the hole. Her ears were erect as her eyes were alert. If someone was going to attack her from behind, or reveal they lived in this den, she'd know before any fatal blow could be issued.
Her paws were planted right in front of the hole, and she began to wonder if it was a good idea. If she established herself here, there was no promise that she'd be happy. It was chilly here, even with her thick pelt, and she did not want to be cold forever. Somewhere to stay for the night though- that was acceptable. She stuck her muzzle in, to inspect what she could see of this cavern. Warm air welcomed her muzzle, and she felt her stomach tighten with excitement. This place was perfect for a permanent, or even a temporary stay.
She whispered a warning to those who could be inside, said a small wish that she would not die from any inside and stepped in. Tia felt her body engulfed in warm air, and she smiled in delight. Feletia knew this place would make the perfect home, for the temperature control was great. Too hot? Go outside. Too cold? Go inside. It was fool proof.
The femme noticed the other rooms, and quickly inspected them. There was no sign of life here, and in fact, she could not even smell the scent of another fox- or living creature. Which was excellent, she had found her new home. The only thing she needed to worry about was intruders, or ignorant tresspassers. So, she waltzed to the entrance way and stuck her face out into the cold air. As loud as she could, she attempted a fierce howl to warn all on this island- if any- that she was now the ruler of this land. She was the owner, she was the boss lady.
Elegantly, she went back into the cavern and layed down. She placed her head on her front paws and stared to the frozen tundra outside. She was going to live here from now on, and if anyone was going to intrude, she would know about it.
